Gulfstream Goodwill Industries is hiring and looking to fill dozens of open positions across the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast.
At a time when the retail industry is undergoing a major shift, several retail stores in South Florida are reporting a sharp increase in customers shopping for discounted merchandise.
The nonprofit organization is expanding it’s workforce to keep up with the spike in demand.
“The qualifications we’re looking for is someone who is dedicated and someone who understands how important Goodwill is to our community,” said Kaydeon Simpson, vice president of human resources for Gulfstream Goodwill Industries.
Goodwill has a wide variety of resources available to assist people with building careers, job training and community outreach.
In the midst of the pandemic, Goodwill continues to assist local communities by helping people learn new job skills, particularly in the digital space, in order to build their careers and help them care for themselves and their families.
“When COVID-19 emerged, the Goodwill Industries International team quickly instituted a rapid response team to support community-based Goodwill organizations,” said Steven Preston, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries International in a statement.
Last year, Goodwill’s network of 157 nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and Canada collectively helped prepare more than 242,000 people for new jobs and career advancement in the United States and Canada.
Gulfstream Goodwill Industries continues to meet the needs of residents in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties.
The retail stores are an essential component to help support more than forty health, human and social service programs.
