During a news conference in Orlando on Friday, Gov. DeSantis said getting kids back to school campuses “should not be a political issue.”
DeSantis said the politics should be taken out of the equation and people need to look at the science and the data objectively.
The governor doubled down on his arguments for getting kids back to school in the fall. He says no one could argue the data that shows school-aged kids are not vectors of the virus.
DeSantis says student-athletes shouldn’t be kept away from competing, arguing schools, particularly coaches, help keep teens in line and learning discipline.
