Frank Ocean is mourning the death of his 18-year-old brother, Ryan Breaux, who died in a fatal car crash over the weekend.
E! reports the accident transpired in the early morning hours on Sunday in Thousand Oaks, California.
Thousand Oaks Police Department shared in a statement that two people were involved in the collision, but provided no further updates on either victim’s identity following notification of immediate family.
The accident happened shortly after 1:30 in the morning. According to the police statement, “Upon arrival, deputies discovered the vehicle engulfed in flames. The two occupants of the vehicle were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Ventura County Fire Department.”
Police believe the driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed into a tree.
While Ocean has yet to publicly comment on the accident, the “Chanel” artist relayed a message from his rep to his Twitter followers on Sunday.
“Out of respect for Frank and his family, we politely ask you guys not to be asking for new music or shows. Thank you,” the tweet read.
Pierce Brosnan‘s son Paris paid tribute to Ryan on social media over the weekend and identified the other passenger in the vehicle as Ezekiel “Zeek” Bishop.
“To my brother, who was talented beyond belief,” the 19-year-old penned. “You were just getting started and ready to show the world who you were.”
“I will carry you in my heart always. Until I see you again brother. Ryan Breaux forever & Zeek Bishop forever,” he concluded.
No funeral services has been announced at this time.
