Gov. DeSantis on Monday took new steps to speed up the turnaround for COVID-19 test results.
The governor said Marlins Park and Hard Rock Stadium will be converted to provide 15-minute antigen testing. It will be exclusively for those who show symptoms of the coronavirus and those over 65 years of age.
People can get an antigen test, and walk out with results in 15 minutes.
The governor said other drive-up testing sites will offer self-swabs to Floridians. DeSantis says the state is working with a number of labs and anticipates a 48 to 72-hour turnaround for results in these cases.
Antibody testing will also be added to sites across Florida.
DeSantis says the changes will begin on Tuesday.
