Florida set a new high for the number of coronavirus cases reported in one day.

On Thursday, the Florida Department of Health reported 3,207 news cases of the virus, for a statewide total of 85,926. The number breaks the previous high for new cases in a single day. On June 16, the FDOH reported 2,783 new cases.

The death toll climbed by 43 for a statewide total of 3,061.
