“Florida” Adds Record 10,109 New Cases Of “Coronavirus”!

Florida added a record 10,109 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday, just ahead of the 4th of July holiday weekend.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Florida is now at 169,106. The latest jump surpasses the previous high set last Saturday.

For perspective Florida topped the 10,000 mark in total cases of coronavirus on April 3.

The number of people dead from the virus climbed to 3,718 on Thursday, 101 of which involve non-Florida residents.

Palm Beach County added 11 deaths. Martin County and St. Lucie County each added one new death to their totals.

Palm Beach County

  • Total cases: 14,859
  • Resident cases: 14,706
  • Deaths: 523

Martin County

  • Total cases: 2,151
  • Resident cases: 2,135
  • Deaths: 26

St. Lucie County

  • Total cases: 1,876
  • Resident cases: 1,865
  • Deaths: 49

Indian River County

  • Total cases: 772
  • Resident cases: 760
  • Deaths: 16

Okeechobee County

  • Total cases: 390
  • Resident cases: 388
  • Deaths: 0

Palm Beach County is third in the state for resident cases of coronavirus with 14,859, behind Miami-Dade (40,265) and Broward (17,116) Counties. According to the latest data from the Florida Department of Health, the city of West Palm Beach has the eighth highest coronavirus count among cities.
