Finally, a Michael Jackson biopic is in the works, with a reputable director.

According to Variety, a Michael Jackson biopic is in the works.

Now you are probably saying wait…there’s already a Michael Jackson movie.

No there isn’t lol..

Well, there was an attempt at an MJ movie back in 2004 titled, “Man In The Mirror” The Micheal Jackson Story but c’mon, that was almost 20 years ago and Jackson hadn’t even passed away yet.

I feel good about it seeing as though Antione Fuqua, a reputable director, is involved.

His works include Training Day, The Equalizer 2, Will Smith’s Emancipation, and much more!

Fuqua told Variety:

“The first films of my career were music videos, and I still feel that combining film and music are a deep part of who I am,” said Fuqua. “For me, there is no artist with the power, the charisma, and the sheer musical genius of Michael Jackson. I was influenced to make music videos by watching his work – the first Black artist to play in heavy rotation on MTV. His music and those images are part of my worldview, and the chance to tell his story on the screen alongside his music was irresistible.”

Production is expected to begin later this year, my question is are they going to be able to use all of Mike’s music?
