The WIZ Revamped by Latoya Perry Studios & City of Riviera Beach Parks & Rec

Our goal for The Wiz Revamped 2023! – the groundbreaking version of The Wizard of Oz that would our Juneteenth musical production – was to create a shared experience for families across Palm Beach County to become a vital part of the community conversation. To achieve these lofty goals we developed a team built out of our Seniors program and children’s ensemble so that leveraged original content, interactive activations and the star power of our A-list Staff to tap into the childrens creative skills audiences’ nostalgia for The Wiz was chosen to cross age group and bring the community together, building buzz and awareness through that inspired children to become interested in the theatrical arts with this show. This hyper-targeted effort created urgency, encouraged conversation, and ultimately drove participation around the show, making The Wiz Revamped!
