BOCA GUMBOFEST RETURNS ON NOVEMBER 16 WITH PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT GUMBO LIMBO NATURE CENTER
Boca GumboFest 2019 returns to Red Reef Park West, 1400 North Ocean Boulevard, on November 16, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., with an exclusive VIP tasting hour starting at 12p.m., bringing top chefs from throughout South Florida together to compete for the title of Gumbo Grand Master 2019. GumboFest 2019 VIP Featured Act will be bluegrass band, The Lubben Bros. performing from 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by The Sheffield Bros headlining from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
“GumboFest is a fundraiser for coastal stewardship to raise money for a beloved community jewel, Gumbo Limbo Nature Center,” said Brandon Canute, Development Manager, Friends of Gumbo Limbo.
The event will feature gumbo recipes by local chefs from restaurants including Funky Buddha Brewery, Tucker Duke’s, Boca Beach Club (2018 People’s Choice winner) and more. Whether you prefer traditional or something a bit more explorative, there’s a gumbo for everyone’s taste. Drinks will be generously provided by Funky Buddha Brewery, Tito’s Handcrafted Vodka, Naked Turtle Rum, and St. Augustine Distillery.
Chefs will compete for the coveted title of Gumbo Grand Master, People’s Choice Gumbo, and more!
Limited VIP tickets ($40) include a pre-event reception starting at 12 p.m. with complimentary tastings; a special commemorative Yeti 16oz tumbler pre-filled with a beverage of choice, and other exclusive perks. General admission tickets – $15 for Friends Members/$20 for Non-Members include parking, admission, a re-usable steel pint tumbler and three GumboBucks. “Gumbo Bucks” will be available for purchase at the event to redeem for beer, cocktails, and gumbo.
