Fans on social media are ready for tonight’s Verzuz battle between Eve andTrina. For the first time, the Verzuz platform will welcome two rap queens, who made their debuts in 1999 and 2000, respectively, with raw lyrics and sex-positive themes that solidified their stance in hip-hop.

Philadelphia native Eve dropped her hard-bodied multi-platinum debut album, Let There Be Eve…Ruff Ryders’ First Lady, in 1999. The rapper went onto win a Grammy and successfully landed roles in TV series such as her self-titled show, Eve, and all three Barbershop films, alongside Ice Cube

Meanwhile, Trina’s career highlights include music, reality television and radio. The Miami native landed six albums on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, including her debut album, Da Baddest B****, in 2000. Trina also stars on Love & Hip Hop: Miami.

Both Eve and Trina were featured on the remix to Ludacris‘ “My Chick Bad,” with Nicki Minaj and Atlanta rapper Diamond, in 2010. Trina also made a guest appearance on “Gangsta B******” from Eve’s 2001 album, Scorpion

Watch Eve and Trina’s Verzuz battle tonight at 8 p.m. EST on Instagram Live at @verzuztv, on the Triller app, or your television with the FITE TV App. This week’s battle is in partnership with Tiffany Haddish’s new show, Friday Night Vibes, which premieres Friday, June 18th on TBS.
