Bishop Masters speaks with local business owners, including the owner of Frontline Jamaica Restaurant, about the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. They are recognizing social distancing and sanitizing guidelines established by the CDC. Another business owner, JW, says he has applied for a small business loan, and plans to continue helping to feed and support the community through various initiatives.
Masters also takes a moment to pay tribute to the Davis family, who recently lost one of their own, Willie Bo Davis. He also explains that several churches are reopening this Sunday for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, and cautions listeners to take appropriate safety precautions. In addition, New Macedonia Baptist Church will be providing free meals once again this Sunday on a drive-up basis.
Sabrina Thomas, a local parent, expresses disappointment at the lack of traditional graduation ceremonies this year, but acknowledges that the situation has brought people closer together. She believes it is too soon to reopen and hopes that people will also practice caution and make wise decisions.
