Bishop Masters discusses his concerns follow the recent police-involved shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin, in addition to similar incidents. He believes the marches and protests are helpful in bringing awareness to the issue of violence. However, the best way to show support is to boycott businesses that seem to support various types of discrimination and inequality.
As part of the cause, he also seeks to reenergize and reinvigorate the Black church, and to distribute Black Lives Matter signs throughout the community. It is important to make a statement, according to Masters. There is strength in unity.
In terms of the election, he encourages listeners to vote for the candidate who stands up for minorities. He also expects to have law enforcement present in large numbers at polling places. Masters supports voting in person, as well as early voting. He says, “We, the people, will win Florida.”
