It looks things are slowly getting back to normal for rapper Drake, who is recovering knee surgery he underwent last month.
The Canadian superstar shared an update with his 72.6 million followers on his Instagram story about his recovery thus far.
“Some confident steps at five weeks. Hope all of you are healing up well,” wrote Drake, over a video of himself walking in hard-bottom Nike Air Force One shoes.
In the video, Drake tagged NFL stars Odell Beckham Jr., Saquon Barkley, Cincinnati Bengals player Joe Burrow — who underwent knee sugery last week — and New York rapper Benny the Butcher, who is also recovering from a recent gunshot wound to the leg.
Other than sharing images of his knee in a brace on his Instagram story, Drake has yet to officially share details about his surgery.
Fans on social media have wished Drake a speedy recovery, though many hope this won’t affect the release of his next album, Certified Lover Boy, which is set to arrive in 2021.
To build anticipation for the release, Drake teamed up with frequent What a Time to Be Alive partner Future for the comedic “Life Is Good” video. He followed up with the “Toosie Slide” dance anthem from his May mixtape, Dark Lane Demo Tapes.
