Dr. Dre is a single man again amid his growing divorce battle with estranged wife Nicole Young.

People reports that the seven-time Grammy winner was declared legally single by a Los Angeles County judge last week.  The publication reports that Dre — born Andre Romelle Young — requested for a change in his marital status despite ongoing divorce negotiations.

According to the legal docs filed Wednesday, the judge declared, “Marital or domestic partnership status is terminated and the parties are restored to the status of single persons.”

Dre requested back in March for the court to reinstate his single status, insisting that his relationship with his wife cannot be repaired.

Dre, 56, and Young, 51, wed in 1996. They share two children: Truice, 24, and 20-year-old Truly.  Young, who works as a lawyer, filed for divorce in June 2020 — citing irreconcilable differences.
