Toni Braxton has earned her ninth #1 on the Billboard Adult R&B Chart with her single “Do It,” from her upcoming tenth studio album, Spell My Name.
The song became the #1 most-added song at Adult R&B radio after its release in April, marking Braxton’s highest debut in the format.
“Y’all did what you had to do! Thank you for making “Do It” #1,” Toni captioned a video of her singing the song, which initially peaked at #24 on Billboard‘s Hot R&B Songs chart and was later remixed by the legendary Missy Elliot.
“Do It” was written by Braxton, longtime collaborator and friend Babyface Edmonds, Percy Brady and Antonio Dixon.
To follow up, Toni shared a music video for her disco-ready banger “Dance,” which has become a viral dance challenge on social media called “The Toni Shuffle.”
Spell My Name arrives on August 28th via Island Records and is available for pre-order now.
