A 23-year-old Maryland daycare employee is currently being held without bond and is facing charges of two felony counts of child abuse and two misdemeanors for second-degree assault.

Greenwell was arrested on Saturday, April 8. On Monday, she appeared in court via Zoom. Additionally, her family also was present and requested anonymity. Furthermore, they claimed they had been harassed and threatened since the videos of Greenwell abusing children went viral.

The victims’ families did not appear in court. However, the prosecutor reportedly stated that there are currently two child victims, ages three and four.

The head of the special victims unit, Jess Garth, also appeared in court and stated that the case is unusual because Greenwell filmed herself committing the crimes.
