Cases of coroanvirus in Florida hit the 66,000 mark on Tuesday, an increase of 1,096 from the day before.

The Florida Department of Health also reported an additional 53 deaths, bringing the statewide total to 2,765.

The 1000-case increase in one day is the sixth in the last seven days.

Palm Beach County reported an additional 15 deaths from the coronavirus. The death toll in Palm Beach County now stands at 388, with 7518 cases of coronavirus among residents and non-residents, an increase of 189 from Monday.

Two more people in Martin County died from the virus, bringing the county total to 15. St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee Counties added new cases of the virus but no new deaths.
