Chris Brown is firing back after being dragged into the the drama between Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez.

Brown’s named popped up in the conversation surrounding the shooting scandal after Megan revealed during an Instagram Live session on August 20 that Tory was the one who shot her in her feet last month. The confession triggered many to relate the incident to Brown’s 2009 assault on Rihanna, causing his name to trend on Twitter.

On Monday, the 31-year-old singer took to his Instagram Stories to issue a message to those comparing his 11-year-old indiscretion to the shooting scandal.

“Leave my f***ing name out of someone elses situation…” he wrote. “Yall not finna involve me in this f*** a** sh**! P**** b****, yall make me sick with this lame sh**.”

Although Brown received some backlash, many fans appeared to agree with him on the matter. One Twitter user defended the “Go Crazy” singer by pointing out a difference between the two incidents.

They tweeted, “CHRIS BROWN WENT ON LIVE TV AND TOOK ALL THE BLAME FOR HIS INCIDENT TORY RAN TO THE BLOGS AND FABRICATED STORIES THEY ARE NOT THE SAME…”

Another added, “Y’all treated Chris Brown way worse than Tory, Lmfao Tory shot a [chick] twice!!!”
