Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s “WAP” takes over Billboard’s brand new Global 200 chart. Along with debuting at #1 on the list, the song leads with 100.9 million global streams and 23,000 global downloads.
“Number 1 all around the world?” wrote Megan on Instagram. “Thank y’all so much.”
Billboard launched their Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts this week. The rankings track the most popular songs based worldwide streams and download sales.
The Global 200 chart focuses on all songs worldwide, while the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. is inclusive to all territories outside the United States. Both charts compare rankings based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services.
Other artists who landed in the top 10 on the Global 200 charts include The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” Drake and Jason Derulo, as well as the song of the summer, DaBaby‘s “Rockstar,” featuring Roddy Ricch.
Colombian singer Maluma topped the Global Excl. U.S. chart with 85.3 million streams and 1,000 sold outside the U.S for “Hawái.”
The full Billboard charts will be available tomorrow and posted every Tuesday.
