Broward County Sheriff

A struggling mother and her children finally have electricity going three months without it.

A Broward County deputy was recently dispatched to a call where he encountered a distraught mother of three who lost her job due to COVID-19. He quickly learned she and her kids have been living in an apartment without electricity for three months.

The deputy immediately contacted seven of his colleagues to help assist with paying her bill.

The deputies were also able to connect her with extra service providers that would help her and her family live comfortably through these tough times.
