Fans are excited after R&B singer Brandy hinted at the idea of rebooting the popular 90s sitcom, Moesha.
For now, she’s “completely open” to bring back the popular series after it was released on Netflix over the weekend.
“I’m completely open to it,” Brandy said during a Rap-up interview. “I would love to experience that. It’s an idea. I just know that for me, I just want for everyone to know that I’m open to it and I’m in discussions with the right people to make it happen.”
Moesha is currently ranked number six among the top 10 most-watched shows on Netflix.
On the show, Brandy played Moesha Denise Mitchell, a high school student exploring her independence while growing up in the Leimert Park neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Sheryl Lee Ralph, Marcus T. Paulk, Shar Jackson, Lamont Bentley, Countess Vaughn, and Ray J, who later joined the show, also starred in the series which aired from 1996 to 2001.
Bentley, sadly, died in a 2005 car crash. Yvette Wilson, who played family friend Andell, passed away from cervical cancer in 2012.
In 2017, the cast shared an emotional reunion on The Real, for the first time in 16 years.
