It’s a Twenty88 reunion! Big Sean and Jhené Aiko affectionately display their love in new video for “Body Language.“
The visual features recreated scenes from cult-classic films such as Best Man, Love Jones and Poetic Justice, the latter starring Janet Jackson and late rapper Tupac. Sean takes on Tupac’s role, while Aiko plays as his love interest, which was portrayed by Jackson in the 1993 film. Other scenes pay homage to other 90s romance films, including Aiko as Bernadine from Waiting to Exhale.
Meanwhile, Ty Dolla $ign lends his sultry vocals on the track as he walks through various scenes, heightening the video’s romance story.
“Body Language” appears on Big Sean’s latest chart-topping album, Detroit 2, which was executive-produced by Hit-Boy. It also follows Aiko’s black-and-white visual for “10k Hours,” featuring Nas.
Aiko and Big Sean each landed nominations at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards, which airs January 31 on CBS. Sean’s “Deep Reverance,” featuring Nipsey Hussle, was nominated for Best Rap Performance, while Aiko’s latest album, Chilombo, earned her three nominations, including one for Album of the Year.
