August Alsina dropped a new track titled “Shake the World,” and it seems like he had some things to get off of his chest.
The first verse of August’s song goes, “I heard I was cancelled (Hmm) // Well, let’s speak on that // Red dot on my back, I became a target // And I’m flawed but flawless, that’s what makes me August.”
He continues on with lyrics that seem to reference Jada Pinkett Smith, with whom he’s alleged to had have an affair, as well as the Solange/Jay-Z elevator incident, saying, “I heard it’s some s*** that’s bound to go down when you got a billion dollars on the elevator // Well, of course some s*** was bound to go down when you tangled up with the world’s favorite (Ah-ooh) // (Movin’ on).”
Pinkett Smith, 50, has admitted to past dealings with Alsina, 29, referring to the relationship as an “entanglement” on an episode of her Facebook Watch show, Red Table Talk. When the episode aired back in July 2020, Alsina capitalized on the moment, dropping a similar tell-all track featuring Rick Ross, called “Entanglements.”
This new track comes just after Will Smith is a hot topic after smacking Chris Rock at the Oscars.
