Army-Navy Outdoors in West Palm Beach says it’s seeing another spike in sales of tactical gear such as bulletproof vests, knives, pepper spray, glass cutters, handcuff keys, and collapsible metal batons.
This comes after a spike in sales prior to the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.
Store workers say they were quite busy Wednesday through Sunday, January 18.
They say they’ve been so busy they plan to hire an additional part-time employee. They say customers have not mentioned why they’re buying these items, although it may be related to the possibility of demonstrations at state capitols this week when Joe Biden is sworn in as the next President of the United States.
