Andra Day has shared a documentary-style music video for her single, “Phone Dies.”
Day’s goofy and sexy personality comes out in the creative visual, which features a montage of photos and videos Day took with her iPhone.
“This might sound crazy / But be my baby / I’ll let you feel these vibes until my phone dies / Yeah, we can feel these vibes until my phone dies,” she sings on the Anderson .Paak-produced track.
“Phone Dies” follows Day’s single “Tigress & Tweed,” which was co-written by Grammy-winning musician Raphael Saadiq.
Before “Phone Dies,” Andra Day won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture — Drama for her film debut in Lee Daniels‘ The United States vs. Billie Holiday, in which she played the title role of the legendary blues singer. For the film’s soundtrack, Day also released covers of Holiday’s classic songs, including “Strange Fruit” and “All of Me.”
