“I’ve been battling what I realize is potentially some self-worth issues, because for whatever reason, I’m feeling like I’m not deserving of greatness,” the 15-time Grammy winner says in a preview clip.

Jada’s mother, Adrienne Banfield-Jones, sympathized with Alicia, saying, “Hallelujah.”

“I’ve been smooshing it down for so long that it has become a habit,” Keys continued. “A bad habit.”

Alicia and Jada are longtime friends. When the “You Don’t Know My Name” singer hosted the Grammy Awards earlier this year, she brought Jada on stage with her, along with Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez.

The Red Table Talk episode featuring Keys airs Monday, October 14 on Facebook.
