
The string of five-straight days of 1000-plus new cases of coronavirus in Florida comes to an end.
On Monday, the Florida Department of Health reported 966 new cases of the virus in the state, and 12 additional deaths, bringing the statewide totals to 64,904 cases and 2,712 deaths.
Florida had seen gains of more than 1,000 cases in each of the last five days until Monday.
Palm Beach County is reporting more than 7,300 cases, with 373 deaths.
Martin County is reporting 917 cases of coronavirus, with 13 deaths.
St. Lucie County is reporting 654 cases of coronavirus with 31 deaths.
Indian River County has 167 cases of coronavirus, with 11 deaths. And Okeechobee County has 138 cases of the virus, with no reported deaths.
