According to CNN the prosecuting attorney in the case of 84-year-old Andrew Lester, (who shot and wounded 16-year-old

Ralph Yarl for ringing his doorbell,) says there was a racial component to this case but will not elaborate.

Lester will face two felony charges for shooting the teenager after he rang the wrong doorbell.

He told police Yarl pulled an exterior door after he rang the doorbell,  Yarl denies the account and is expected to survive as he recovers in a Missouri hospital.
